VPNKIND · QUICKSTART

Getting Started: Connect and Verify

Set up your account and subscription in the dashboard first, then have your client load the routes. This page walks you through the essential setup; see the separate guides for route details and advanced AI Tools troubleshooting.

Create an account and open the dashboard

Start with the account link below. It opens the VPNKind dashboard, separate from the information page you’re reading. Manage your account, plan, subscription, and client downloads there. Create an account with a username and password—no email address required. Follow the prompts and check that your username and password meet the requirements. If you already have an account, switch to the sign-in page instead of creating another.

Before submitting, save your username and password in a reliable password manager. Since you don’t need an email address to create an account, don’t rely on an unlinked email account to recover it later. After submitting, confirm that you’re in your own account page. If you’re still on the sign-in screen, check what you entered and follow the page instructions; don’t repeatedly submit different details in multiple windows.

Once you can see sections such as Overview, Plans, and Client Downloads in the dashboard, your account is ready. That doesn’t mean you have an active subscription yet: the client establishes the connection, while your plan determines your available data and subscription status. Set up a plan next.

First Month Free

Choose a plan and review your order

Open Plans in the dashboard and first distinguish monthly subscriptions from data packages. Monthly plans suit regular use: ¥9.9/month includes 60GB, ¥18/month includes 250GB, and ¥28/month includes 500GB. Data resets monthly on the date you activate the plan, not at the start of each calendar month. Consider your typical usage: everyday browsing and text-based tools use less data than regular video streaming.

If your usage varies, compare the data packages: ¥158/300GB, ¥358/1000GB, and ¥658/3000GB. Each lasts until used and never expires. Unlike a monthly subscription, a data package doesn’t replenish each month. Not sure which suits you? See the full details on the pricing page, then return to the dashboard to choose.

After choosing a plan, follow the dashboard steps to create an order. Before paying, double-check the amount, plan type, and data allowance. Pay with Alipay, WeChat Pay, or USDT. When payment is complete, return to the dashboard to check your order and plan status. If the page hasn’t updated, refresh the order status rather than placing another order. When upgrading mid-term, the price difference is converted into remaining days; follow the details shown in the dashboard.

This service supports unlimited devices and offers a 14-day no-questions-asked refund. See the refund policy for eligibility and instructions. Confirm that the selected plan appears in the overview before getting your subscription. This helps avoid mistaking a plan that hasn’t taken effect for a client issue.

Choose this plan

Get your subscription from the dashboard

Return to the dashboard overview and find the subscription, copy link, or import option. The subscription link lets your client load route settings; it isn’t an installer or a webpage that connects you when opened. Check your plan status first. If the dashboard says you need to complete another step, do that before retrieving the subscription.

If the dashboard offers one-click import for your client, install the client first, then click the import option and allow your browser to open the app. If the app doesn’t launch or your system can’t find an app to handle the link, don’t keep clicking. Copy the subscription from the dashboard instead, then look in your client for “Import from link,” “Add subscription,” or a similar option.

For manual import, paste the full link into the client’s subscription URL field. Make sure you haven’t copied extra spaces, explanatory text, or line breaks. Give the configuration a recognizable name, such as “VPNKind,” then save it and refresh or update the subscription. When you see route groups and route names, the client has loaded the configuration. Saving a name alone doesn’t mean the import succeeded.

Treat the subscription link as sensitive account information. Don’t post it publicly or include it in support screenshots. When contacting support, share your platform, the client’s error message, and what you were doing. With your subscription ready, follow the steps for your platform below.

Import into a client for your platform

Download clients from the dashboard. You’ll need to sign in to get your subscription. You can download clients on Windows, macOS, Android, and Linux without first purchasing a plan, but you’ll need an active subscription to connect. Check the dashboard for iOS access requirements. The steps below cover common platforms; use VPNKind’s client and its matching import option where available.

Get the client

Windows: Add a subscription in Settings

Open Downloads in the dashboard, choose the Windows client, and install it as instructed. On first launch, find the “Subscription” or “Configuration” section instead of looking for routes in an empty list. If one-click import is available, return to the browser and click the import option. Allow the system to open the client when prompted, then confirm the import in the app.

To import manually, add a remote subscription in the configuration section, paste the full link you copied, and save it. Then update the configuration. Once it loads, set it as the active configuration and check that route groups are visible. Follow the client’s instructions to enable the system proxy or network-routing option needed to connect. Options vary, so don’t enable multiple routing modes at random. Before testing, quit other clients that are currently routing network traffic to avoid conflicting settings.

macOS: Confirm system permissions after import

Choose a compatible macOS client from the dashboard’s Downloads section and install it. On first launch, follow the system prompts to confirm the app’s source and permissions. Open the client’s subscription or configuration manager, then import using the dashboard link or add a subscription URL manually. Save and refresh the configuration, confirm that routes appear, and set it as the active configuration.

When you connect, macOS may ask for network-related permission. Check that the prompt refers to the client you just installed, then approve it as instructed. If you still can’t connect, return to the client and check whether it actually started, rather than simply closing the permission dialog. When you’re done, disconnect from within the client. Don’t just close the settings window while leaving a system proxy active with an unclear status.

Android: Load your subscription and allow the VPN connection

Sign in to the dashboard and download the Android client. Install it as prompted, then open the app. In Subscription Management or Configuration, choose the option to add from a link and paste the subscription you copied from the dashboard. You can also return to the dashboard after installation and try one-click import. Once added, update the subscription and select the configuration that has loaded routes, rather than leaving the blank default selected.

The first time you connect, Android will show a VPN connection request. Check that the app name matches your client, approve the request, then return to the app to check its connection status. If it works in the foreground but often disconnects in the background, check whether battery settings restrict the client’s background activity and allow it to run as needed. Avoid changing several network settings at once. First establish a normal connection, then see how it performs during everyday use.

iOS: Get and add a configuration through the dashboard

Choose the iOS option in the dashboard and follow its requirements and instructions to get a client. Don’t pick an app with a similar name at random from search results. If you can’t see an available download option for your account, check the dashboard’s prompts and your plan status. Don’t try to install files intended for another platform or paste a subscription URL into the App Store search field.

After installation, return to the dashboard and use the matching import option where available. To import manually, add a link in the client’s subscription or configuration manager, save it, and update the configuration. Check that the routes have loaded. On first connection, you’ll usually need to allow the client to add a VPN configuration. Follow the system prompts, then return to the client and connect. If other network configurations are already on your device, check which one is active so you don’t end up using a different configuration than the one shown as connected.

Linux and troubleshooting import issues

Linux users can also download a client from the dashboard, install it as instructed, and import the subscription in its configuration manager. If you use another client that supports subscriptions, first check that its import format matches the one provided in the dashboard. Don’t repeatedly paste a URL in an incompatible field. Network settings for command-line tools, IDE plugins, and APIs aren’t covered in this quick guide. For details, see the AI Tools guide.

Connect to a route and test access

Once the import is complete, return to the client’s main screen and confirm that the active configuration is the VPNKind subscription you just added. Choose a group for what you want to do: check the AI Tools group for tools such as ChatGPT, Streaming for video, or International Sites for other websites. Then choose a route within that group. IEPL dedicated lines, relay, and direct connections describe route types; they don’t guarantee compatibility with every app. See the Nodes page for a full breakdown.

Start the connection and wait for the client to show its status. Open Network Check to see your browser’s current exit information, then open the website or app you actually want to use. A browser test only reflects that browser request; it can’t replace testing other apps. Whether your target app can sign in and load content is the result that matters for your use case.

For AI tools, try a regular request and check that it completes consistently. For streaming, check that the page loads and video plays—not just that the home page opens. The platform’s regional, account, and subscription rules still apply; a working connection doesn’t grant access to a third-party service. If your browser works but an IDE plugin or command-line tool still fails, first check whether it uses the same network route. For advanced setup, see the AI Tools Access and Troubleshooting Guide.

If something goes wrong, work backward through the setup steps: confirm that the client is connected, the active configuration is up to date and includes routes, and system permissions and plan status are correct. If only one service fails, keep your current settings and try another route suited to that use case. Change one thing at a time and note the result, so you can identify the cause.

If the issue persists, sign in to the dashboard and submit a support ticket. Include your device platform, the client’s message, the affected app, and the steps you’ve tried. Hide your subscription link, account details, and payment information in screenshots. For additional devices, follow the same sequence: get a client, import the subscription, and test the connection. There’s no device limit, but each device needs its own setup and authorization.
